Research Interests:

  • Optoelectronic Macromolecules: synthesis, microstructure and optoelectronic properties of semiconducting polymers with applications in photovoltaic cells, light-emitting diodes, transistors and biosensors.
  • Semiconducting Nanomaterials: synthesis, surface modification and self-assembly on one-dimensional (1D) semiconducting nanparticles including nanowires, nanorods and nanotubes.
  • Polymer Nanocomposites: preparation, processing and properties of multifunctional nanocomposites including polymer-carbon nanotube composites and nanohybrid organic-inorganic composites with applications in coatings and energy conversions.
